Antique jewelled purse frame remade in vintage silk

Lovely jewelled gilt purse frame with stones The frame is inches wide . The gilt frame is inlaid with Four Peking glass oval cabuchon s and amethyst and ruby faux jewels . All the jewels are present The frame is Austrian dating from around 1940 . I have UpCycled and remade the frame in vintage woven silk salvaged from an antique woven silk shawl . These shawls are very rare and woven from very fine yarn . They date from 1920 and are reminiscent of Missoni . The Missoni family apparently bought the looms hence the similar Zig Zigzag design . I have Handmade the purse in Ireland from treasure all over the world . The Sides are finished in vintage gold braid . Lined in silk and further embellished with crochet flowers and vintage braid . A vintage brooch is pinned to the front .
overall it measures 6 1/2 inches by 11 to include the fringing .
