This beautiful antique gilt purse frame dates from around 1920 . There’s no markings on it but probably french or Austrian . Four amber coloured jewels adorn the frame surrounded by tiny jewels and enamel flowers . The kiss lock has two matching jewels and works perfectly and snaps shut . The frame measures over 6 inches wide . The original chain handle is still attached measuring 14 inches . The bag has been remade in Antique woven silk stretched over Aqua silk . The fabric has been salvaged from an antique shawl from 1920 . Extraordinary subtle colours of green lilac and burnt orange . These shawls inspired the Missoni family who subsequently bought the looms . An antique brooch is pinned to the front . The sides of the purse are finished in vintage gold braid and the end of the purse is finished in vintage beaded fringing . The purse measures 7 inches wide by 10 inches long . The interior of the purse is lined in matching silk and further embellished with vintage ribbon and crochet flowers from Turkey . This bag has been completely made by hand in Ireland from genuine Antique treasures .
